News From Michael Leviton

 » »

2006-11-27

Michael Leviton here. I'm writing to warn you that I'm going to be on TV tomorrow night. The NYC TV show New York Noise (about New York indie music) did an episode about me playing ukulele at a Bar Mitzvah party where I was semi-attacked by a mob of 13-year-olds. Some of them were 12 and not yet bar mitzvah age, but they all attacked like men. You can read the whole nerve-shredding saga on the news page of michaelleviton.com. The episode airs Tuesday at 10pm, Saturday at 11pm, and Sunday at 10pm.

ALSO, I'll be playing my last New York show of the year tonight! It's an early show at Piano's at 7:30pm opening for the amazing Graham Smith. Graham Smith is one of my favorite musicians ever. He used to be called Kleenex Girl Wonder. This is the last night of his month-long November residency at Piano's. Be there! Otherwise, I'll see you in January!

2006-11-12

Just in from the very exciting news department: The Plug Awards have nominated Annuals' Be He Me for indie rock album of the year!!! Man Man has also recieved a nomination for best live act, a category they are a likely shoe-in for.
But as you know your votes are the deciding factor, so, to paraphrase P-diddy get on over there and VOTE OR DIE!!!
Oh and in the comments section make sure to mention your amazment and indignance at your favorite label Ace Fu, being left off the "best labels" list!
